Tartan etiquette question? - tartan socks
the wedding of my brother is in the neighborhood, and I hope that you are using kilts. The bride's family are 100% Scottish. We are part of my father's side.
as an ordained minister, I would wear the tartan of the clergy, but also want to wear the tartan of the clan. Is it acceptable to wear the tartan of the clergy in the shoulder and the clan's kilt? Scottish kilt or the clergy and the clan on my shoulder? This skirt is considered inappropriate and / or a plaid jacket with its own design, as in some of these sites where you can design your own tartan? when I try to match the socks?
I'm the Godfather, but for me it's ok to use the sword, dagger and Dubh Sian? What is the etiquette surrounding leaves and so on?
I make my own backpack? Belt and shoulder straps? Sandals? Retaining ring? Are there rules for the search?
Is it OK if something has the arms of others (not in Scotland) and origin?
What are the rules around the CAP / bonnet?
Am I really expected that they all wear underneath my skirtor it is made just for tourists?

As the family of the bride is 100% Scottish, that's where your Q's should. Traditionally, the bride's family, anyway for the wedding.
Sorry, I have no answer, but why not ask a family member of the bride? I am sure the mother-in-law would be advised! Personally, I wear underwear all odds. No one will know that if you should see where they are looking for.
